Indigenizing Special Olympics Young Athletes
Dr. Kassy served as a consultant for Special Olympics Young Athletes, collaborating with American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start programs to Indigenize the curriculum. This pioneering work integrates traditional games, language, food, and storytelling into an inclusive early childhood movement program—honoring culture, community, and identity while supporting young athletes of all abilities.
